The reason I asked - I got the impression that IV is for the "highly qualified" people. I know "highly qualified" is a subjective term. I did 3 yrs bachelors in commerce from India. I was not sure if I am "highly qualified" or not. Reading through a forum I came to know about the SKIL bill - which I don't think is for guys with my qualification.
Is IV only pursuing SKIL bill or are there any other bills that would benefits people like me? If there are, then where can I read about those provisions? I want to browse though them and want to see if it would help my case.

As you might be aware that you will be filing the your case under EB3 and we have many members with your scenario (including educational qualifications)So by being an active member on IV,you will have access to information that is hard to find.

Dear friends
Finally my EB-2 Sch-A Cat.II I-140 got approved on Oct-30. I got five emails today.
I submitted my I-140 as regular and then upgraded to Premium a week before on Oct-25.
thanks to all of you on this important forums who helped me lot in the process.
Now I will be enjoying ride of Retrogession Starting from Nov-1 in Sch-A cases.
Will Keep posted about I-485 as it develops.

It's all gas gas gas... Manmohan Singh is heading one of the most corrupt & messy govt. in the history of India. All the ministers are busy looting the country and would like to make most in the remaining 3 years of their terms. Forget they will do anything that would benefit anybody else but themselves..it's only that overexcited journos ask the ministers what they will do and without even thinking they vomit nonsenses. Think logically how this can be a WTO issue, it is completely in their jurisdiction whatever fees they may want to charge, take it or move on...nobody is forcing them to use the expensive Visas ?

This action simply contradicts the entry on visa waiver. This allows people to visit (ONLY) with no intention of staying.
Coming in before you know your L visa is going to be coming is fraudulent.
If this individual wishes to leave the US they will have to get the L visa stamped in their passport before they can return. Might be asked why they did not get this done to enter the country for their job in the first place.
Have to say this person is going to need some assistance at some point to explain this away.

I recently renewed my license in Oklahoma and was surprised to find out that on top of shorter expiration date, now my license has “TEMPORARY” written across it. This is new rule that OK is applying for non-residents and non-citizens. Has any body else gone thru similar experience? I am outraged that now I will be discriminated every where. DL is used on day to day basis and every body will question me, suspect me as to why “TEMPORARY” is written on my DL. Even DL office was not sure when this new rule was implemented, how come police officers, general public will know about it. I feel ashamed to even show my DL now. I’ll get hard time getting loans etc b/c people will think I may move out any time as I am here “Temporarily”

I also got the same mail and I sent the letter to my company attorney who responded.
Please attach both the EB3 and EB2 I-140 approval notices, EVL from current employer which matches or similar to the one specified when you filed your EB2 labor. Also attach the latest paystubs.

Lisap - The GC approval will depend on your Priority Date. The more recent your PD, the longer it can take for GC. In any case, I think it's a safe option to get your H-1 extended unless you want to take the risk to wait for your EAD.

it looks like you have been distracted lately and not following USCIS updates.
first Ap and EAD have nothing to do with each other and USCIS has stated that they are working hard to get EADs out as the law requires them too. Some people get their EADs a day or two before their receipts.
The priority is issuing EAD and USCIS ha been working hard at it, so dont fret

RFE for Dependent - To show the valid status from day of entery till we filed I 485
One of the supporting document is I-94, but we gave at port of departure.
We have the second I-94 which we received while coming back. Is this copy good enough or do we need to get the second copy.
any body with similar experience please share your thoughts.

But since we do not anticipate the dates to move that fast and if she continues to stay for some more time, she will be out of status and subject to bars. Best option is to file for Follow to Join as soon as possible and may be leave the country for some time. Don't rely on this advice completely but consult a good lawyer as the laws keep changing.

Thanks for your responses. The hospital staff told us it would take 60-90 days to get the SSN. I am stuck until that arrives because only then can I apply for the passport. Any way to get around it?
You don't need SSN to apply for a passport for a baby. PIO card takes about two weeks to process in SFO. I dont think there is any fast processing available for PIO.
