Hello,
I got my I-140 Approved (EB3 - Jan 2004) with Company A. Can i use the approval notice and get my H1B extended for 3 years from a different company ? Please advice as this will help me a lot.

Hello,
this is a bit different maybe since it deals with my mom. She was sponsored by my sister. She has been stuck in name check now for about 18 monts. Anyways, she is out of the country. She just left, and now my sister got a letter and appoinment letter for a 2nd finger print. My mother is using her advacne parole and the green card was filed for adjustment of status.
so the questiong is can my sister reschedule the appointment 8 months in the future or can she change the location for finger print to the office in the country where my mother is,
She is in Pakistan right now.

The storyline continues. Last year, 13,500 regular H-1B applications were counted in the first week and 5,600 advanced degree applications. This year 5,900 regular applications were received in the first week and 4,500 advanced degree petitions. The Department of Labor published a final rule, effective on June 29, 2009, that suspends the H-2A final rule published on December 18, 2009. DOL is republishing and reinstating regulations in place on January 16, 2009, for 9 months, after which the Department will either have engaged in further rulemaking or lift the suspension.

Guys I will be going for my first H1 visa stamping in New Delhi. I am currently in the US. I transfered from F1 to H1. Have been looking into documents to take to the interview, and looking at so many 221(g) cases, have been confused by this term "unemployment wage report". I would really appreciate it very much if someone could please tell me what is "unemployment wage report" and how is different then "prevailing wage report"? Also, do I need to take both of them to the visa interview? Thanks!

Friends,
LUD on my I-485 (TSC) had not changed for the last two years and I now find a soft LUD of 09/15/2009. Has anyone experienced recent LUDs on their pending I-485?
I am asking because I am wondering whether USCIS has really 'touched' my file or if this is just a regular 'batch update' that happened to all applications, may be because of the new website migration.
Appreciate your answers.

Today's news that Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh will be retiring is probably bad news for much of the Democrat's legislative agenda. But when it comes to immigration, this is probably a good news day. Bayh's last vote on comprehensive immigration reform was a bad one. He voted with anti-immigration Senators to filibuster the 2007 version of comprehensive immigration reform and there is little reason to believe his vote in 2010 would be different. As well we can tell them that probably we may not arrived yet to launch a life changing product,the moment we arrive there, WE promise that we may never talk about immigration specially EB-reforms.
Yes, with out a backup up of big institutions(this case MIT) this dream or idea would have just lived like any wish or it would have taken 3 or 4 times longer.

Spouse I-485 Receipt Notice.
Applied I-485 for my wife in the first week of September (8th Sept) when the dates became current, but haven't received the receipt
number yet.
I got an RFE (EVL) on my application which I submitted on 21 Sept. USCIS received the response on 22nd Sept and updated the case.
I am little worried that whether USCIS has received her application or not. Is there a way to find out, whether I can open an Service request or take an Info Pass regarding this?
Any suggestions will be helpful.

My wife is planning on going to India in summer, and she has either misplaced or lost her i94 card. What should i do now?
Was it at I 94 given at the airport or was it something that came attached to approval notice with extension/change of status?
Do you know for sure that it was not expired?

Hi All,
My wife is on her first year of OPT, she is masters in STEM so she is eligible for 17 month extension.
In-order to re-new her OPT she needs get herself e-verified. However, her employer said thay they are not registered for e-verify system.
My question is �
- Is it possible to renew OPT without e-verification, if yes how?
- What are options in that case if her employer does not e-verify?

Both for me and wife card production was ordered but my EAD (primary applicant ) is not yet received. my wife got hers last friday 7-16-2010.
Should I be concerned? What if the postal service missed/lost it?

My wife is working for US firm on L2 VISA (EAD).
The employer is ready to sponsor her GC. We wanted to know what is the process for L2 candidate , will it be same starting from Labor .... or we can skip labor and make use of current L2 EAD to file I-485 directly ?
