Gurus,
Myy EAD is expiring and Renewal is taking more than 1 year as per new processing times.
Can I switch back to H1-B. I am in EAD and I dont have any H1-B status now. I have used 5 1/2 years of h1B previously. Six years is not utilized
What are pros and cons..

If the law is changed. All dates will be current. if it's not changed your date from 2005 means squat. There are abt 200K ppl in the line ahead of you.. no way you are getting anything this life.. maybe you can leave your PD in inheritance to your kid born in India :)

My lawyer says all I140 needs to be applied in NSC and so he has applied mine at NSC.
Is this true?
Whats the criteria for applying in TSC where the approvals happen in say 2-3 months?

All applications goto NSC. They sort and send some to texas. You have to be lucky. In my company among four friends of us, two went to Texas and another two unlucky onces when to NSC. NSC ones are still waiting while other two got approval within two months.

Thanks vparam ! We will give this a try. Hope they give us an SSN.
My wife CA bar exam for which she needed SSN. without bar affiliation she could not get a job. So it was the same situation. that is when we came to know about SSN without work authorization. Initially SSN person told no, it is not feasible but after showing the process requirement and providing the required documetns , the 2nd time we went we got it. It is also depends on the knowledge of the SSN person at the window. But law has it in provision to issue non-work SSN

Based upon the situation AOS you can move to different employer without invoking AC21, if the employer may not revoke I-140, just continue to work with H1B if it is valid and make sure you are employed, if you get RFE from USCIS make sure you have good attorney to prove that you have moved to new company and there by invoking AC21, you may not get RFE this could be worst case situation.

Did any one of you receive receipts matching above criteria. I-140 approved from NSC and 485 sent to NSC.
Also respond if anyone is in the same boat as me waiting for receipts and matching above criteria.
I am on the same boat with you, my application was received on July2nd at 9.01 AM(NSC) and signed by R. MICKELS, I-140 was approved from NSC.
No receipts yet and not even the checks have been cashed:mad:

Has anybody recently applied for a Schengen Visa, if yes, can you please let me know what you did for the travel insurance. The insurance from my employer (Humana) says they cover international but do not have a letter that states the same and Swedish consulate website says the letter should specifically say "International Coverage".
What are my options. Can you guys suggest where I can buy the insurance from.
I used TravelGuard. It was perfectly suited for the Schengen visa application. It cost ~$30 for the coverage amount the visa requires. There might be others, but this worked really well for me.

A friend of mine got his 140 approved in 5 days through PP in June. I don't think now that option is even available since PP has been suspended until futher notice.

Was the threat or intimidation verbal or do you have any paper trail. This can go both ways as the company's have a right to protect their intellectual property and on the same was that non compete legal (meaning if you challenge that in the court, can the judge say yes this needs 5 years of non compete).
Take the non compete and any paper trail about the termination to an HR attorney ASAP. Also see whether any of your colleagues were impacted and go for a class action.

you need to spend 12 months outside of US to apply -- My understanding is that you have to wait 12 months before applying.

The antis regularly say that unathorized immigrants get a range of public benefits but don't pay any taxes. Not so. They're paying $8.4 billion a year in sales taxes and $1.2 billion in income taxes. The illegal folk paid more in sale tax than income tax -- MEANING what exactly? The LARGE majority did not file / pay Income taxes. Period. Who are they kidding here with the sort of agenda filled write ups?
