There is no issue if your wife is the derivative applicant and gets her EAD through you. You can also start but it is more complicated since your business has to be doing excatly the same thing as your labor application. Also, i think you should get lawyers advice if you are starting it. There is no complication for your wife to start a business.

Samething happened to me. On 11/25/2007 i saw a LUD on my approved I-140 (which was approved in Dec, 2006). And then LUD on 12/06/2007 and 12/07/2007 on I-485 for both self and spouse.
Not sure what it could be?? I filed I-485/EAD/AP in late July, 2007. Have received EAD and have done finger printing. Have not received AP yet. Filing Center in Nebraska. My PD is October, 2005, EB3 ROW.

You can also save as a .png image, this allows for partial transparency (sorta like some parts of the image are at a lower alpha while other parts are solid). This uses up more system resources than a .gif though. It can produce some very nice effects if used right, but there is that resource usage issue :)

I was with couple of Big 5 consulting firms. Its good to work for them to add some weight to your resume. But I feel they really dont care for employees let it be immigration, comfort feeling, value to the employees etc.

I had this experience in the past...when my H1 Extension is applied sometime back, they gave me a new i-94 number (probably due to an error)....however, when I left the country for a vacation, I stapled & returned both I-94's as per my attorney's suggestion (through my emp)...

This is same rule in MN too. My wife extend her H4 with dirver license. You need to get her H1b approval first and then renew her license with new H1b Expiration Date. Hope this will help.

Has anyone tried extending NJ DL using H1b extension receipt ?
My H1b extension is in VSC and looks like it will take long long time to come back....DL is expiring in 30 days, with EAD my renewal would be for 6 months only as EAD also expires in Aug.
wonder if they will accept H1b receipt with employer letter ?
please share your NJ DL experience.

We also handed our H1/H4 receipts, but she handed those back to us. I would think that they will need the approval notices just to figure out the validity of the new license they will issue.
I guess you can show them your EAD document and try to get a renewal for couple of months, I am not sure though.

DEPENDS on the cost of the bond/non compete agreement /penalty.if you make more money from new jobs which will eventually cover any penalties should they try to enforce a "suspect'agreement then go for the new job :).

I am not sure what you mean by 3D designers think they have specialty skills?!
First off you don't have to be a designer to model objects that already exist in real life. You just need to know how to use a 3D Modelling program.
And second - yes - it is a skill to be able to use those programs and even more so if you are actually creating an original design.
And dont go to the "viewpoint" D'espano" or other sites for models they are extremely expensive as you say.
As a side note - depending on a model needed by someone you can ask what you need and alot of times people will create it for you for nothing ;) or have it in stock!

Just make the switch,,thats it! Its that simple!! Make sure when u join the new company they file your perm asap and when u r in the 140 stage, you could work with your lawyer to port your old PD. AC21 has made life better!
There are two ways :-
a) Get your H1 transferred and join a new company. You need to complete your new PERM and I-140 before Mar'08 to get your next extension. In this case, you cannot carry over your PD.
b) Wait for your I-140 to be approved. Once it is there, move on, and file your PERM/I-140. You should be able to get your next extension based on the approved I-140 unless it is revoked. Also, you can start your PERM in parallel while waiting for I-140. You can speed up your I-140 by moving it to PREMIUM processing - it involves another 1000 $ of cost. This way you can carry on your PD if you can get a copy of the I-140 when you leave.
There would be other ways too - folks here can enlighten you on the same and if there are any corrections in what I suggested you, they would gladly do it.

With the D100 now carrying a street price of $1499 from legitimate dealers...things are looking mighty nice as the price of admission for quality gear keeps going down.
There are regular refurb D100 for $1,199 on the market recently.
If you want the best value for money, the E+ rated, at Adorama now, 35-70/2.8 AF-D and 80-200/2.8 AF-D are the best buy in town. I always tempted to get them to add a few zooms to my primes.
But until the 1Dx comes out which is 4mp, and the 1Ds holds a price above $6,000 until April, I am NOT buying any more Nikkors, unless the FF digital F6 announces on time, which I think is an impossibility!
