It has skills mentioned of Oracle EBS. I am working on Java/J2EE. I am looking for a new Job with Java/J2EE skills. I am worried that my new offer letter with Java skills mentioned would create a problem for me.
Please Gurus, can you advice me as to whether I can do that? Will staying on bench create a problem, as I donot get salary on bench.

I think it will be follish for any political party to not pay attention to Latino power. Mr. Obama won election with their support. For some reason, Latino group has not come forward so far to say that no CIR would mean no support to the party. I think if Latinos and all other interest groups come together, we may have a chance. Hi all,
We applied for my wife's and mine EAD on April 27th (paper based)
I got the receipt notice on 05/08/2010 and checks were cashed on 05/08/2010
I am okay, because I am on H1B, my wife has a business and employs 2 people full time.
She doesn't draw any salary from the business, except she has business on her name and the accounts on her name as well.
Additionally , she has a valid H4 as well.
I know its too early to panic, but if I didnt get her EAd card by July 31st, are we in trouble

After 90 days, if your wife's application is still pending, take an infopass appointment (there is an option in the infopass to mention EAD after 90 days) and they will expedite it. I would suggest making the appointment for the 91st day just in case.

I have a confusing situation here. Hope someone can help me with this. This is a bit complicated so please bear with me.
I fall under ROW. My first LC was filed in Feb 2005 under RIR and it was in BEC for a long time. So my company filed another LC under PERM in March 2007 which was approved very quickly and I-140 was filed for that.
Then in April 2007 the first LC (PD Feb 2005) was approved and we filed an I-140 for that as well. This was converted to PP and was approved very quickly.
Then in June 07 when my Feb 2005 PD became current we filed for 485 based on that older LC. However in the receipt notice the Priority Date box was blank which I did not notice till yesterday.
My other I-140 with PD March 2007 was pending till Jan 2008 and was approved in mid January. On the same day it was approved I noticed a soft LUD on my pending I-485 which has nothing to do with that I-140.
Now my question is, is it possible that USCIS mistakenly linked my recently approved I-140 (PD Mar 2007) to the pending I-1485? Is that possible? The reason for this worry is the soft LUD that saw on my 485 as mentioned above and the fact that my 485 receipt notice does not have a PD printed on it.
Is there anyway that I can verify which PD is linked to my 485 by contacting USCIS? I have heard of INFOPASS, would that help? If so how can I get an appointment? If as I suspect , the 485 is now linked to the wrong PD, is it difficult to have it corrected? Please let me know.

If you like your family so much you can always go back, you have a choice, people stuck in EB immigration have no choice they are being kicked out because of the long retrogression. Frankly all this talk about this family based immigration is nonsense. It takes 20 to 30 years for somebody to emmigrate uisng family based immigration. So does that mean that in the 20 to 30 years it takes for the "family" to come here, you dont love them in that time. The point I am trying to make is that all the people who are pumping up this family based immigration are trying to play up the emotional angle and are being hypocrites. i would like to convert EB3- pd to Eb2.

First of all I am not going to judge you by your actions because I do not know the full story of why you did it.
Now coming back to your question. There are few things you need to do.
1) Talk to a reputed immigration attorney. Take consulting time and tell them the whole story honestly they are the best people to guide you
2) As far as I can tell you out of status triggers a bar of 10 years on immigration to US. Perhaps if your wife can least get out of country and come back (re-enter) into the country on a valid visa then after admission perhaps you can take advantage of 245 (k) clause that counts OOS from last lawful admission for GC processin, but there is a chance that she might be denied entry if CBP officer can see her OOS in the system for some reason.
My advice is what ever you do make sure you consult an attorney and not some friend or some one from a forum. You have already made situation difficult do not make it any worse.

Who told you that you can not return when H1 transfer is pending? As long as H1B with company B was filed prior to canceling H1 from company A and H1B from company B is a bonafide job that assures H1b status, you can enter with the receipt notice itself, no need to wait for approval.
If you have to know, my company lawyer when my then H1B was currrent but expiring in a few days and extension of H1B was pending. My proposed travel was for a week-long conference in Canada.
