I certainly don't consider myself to be "normal" in regards to my computing needs, but the iPad has been a very welcome addition to my electronics landscape.
It excels at casual uses and has all but replaced my laptop for my traveling needs.
That said, there are times when you just need a 'real' machine to get things done.

Ooo, I'm gonna be first. I took this during the Fernbank Museum (in Atlanta) visit that I'm posting my mythical creatures photos. I was rather self conscious taking this photo, and I wanted to make sure I was not seen doing it. When I saw this scene I was struck by more than one contrast going on. The one I didn't include was with the kids that were also with the couple, but I didn't feel comfortable getting a shot with the kids, too.

months ago they had an article about how the
market share in college is really falling more toward
mac, more than ever before. Apple is getting them
young, and that will pay off in the long run. I got
my first Mac when I started college and now that
I finished, I got a new one. The new laptops have
made a huge dent in this age group, so that is what
a lot of this whole market share increase is caused by.
Harvard and Princeton have both recently reported that 50% of sales at their campus computer stores are Macs.

While you're at it, better check the tags in your clothes. And don't eat boxed or canned or frozen foods either, those companies also make military rations.
As a child of the 50s and 60s, I sympathize with your politics. As an Army veteran, I can tell you that you're barking up the wrong tree. Fight the politicians who go to war, not the war materials or their users... because there are times that you will really need them, and need them to be the best.

I'd gladly pay $5 per channel knowing those channels are supported and any funding is stripped from the others. That'd half my monthly bill, and $5 a channel is more than fair, right?Then perhaps you'd be one of the ones that would end up paying less. I thought the same thing about the sebring, and wasn't very happy about the car at first, but absolutely fell in love with it. That was when I was single and before I had a kid. Anyway, I haven't seen a 200 in person yet, but the car it is replacing was butt-ugly.

Sounds like a very cool project. Well done on getting this far.
Without seeing the code or even using it my gut feeling would be that there is an issue with how you are specifying your path to the executable in your XGrid job/task. In Unixes (OSX, Solaris, BSD and for the purposes of discussion Linux) file locations are specified relative to the root of the filesystem or relative to the local path. If specified from the root the path starts /. This will not work on Windows where the path must start with the drive letter C:\. Even relative paths are an issue as Unixes use / for a directory separator and Windows uses \!
I imagine this is the root cause of your "Blender could not be found at current location" error.

I am definitelynot a 'power user', but I am a hardcore gamer. And when I see a friend with a year old PC playin Warcraft with less jumpiness then my 6 month old powermac, it makes me want to switch. Power does matter to me, and you cant get much power for the amount of money I have when it comes to computers from apple.
