In order to be eligible for EB-2 classification you must have the equivalent of a US Master's Degree AND a US Master's Degree or its equivalent must be the minimum requirement for the position that is the subject of the I-140 Immigrant Visa Petition.

In other words, even if your education equates to a US Master's degree, you will not qualify for EB2 classification unless the empolyer can show that the job duties of the position could not be successfully performed by anyone not possessing at least a Master's degree or its equivalent.

You do not require valid visa stamp to go India. If your kids are US citizen, you will need PIO card for them. While travelling back from India, you will be asked for valid Visa or AP to board fight for US from Frankfurt.


Our visa stamp (H1B/H4) are expired in our passports. We are planning to travel via 'Frankfurt (FRA), Germany' to Mumbai in Lufthansa airlines and we will get our passport .....................

The English name of the bird is "Heron", there's several different types of Heron, and I can't tell you which kind this one is.

I'd love to come and fish in your rivers... But perhaps a little bit further inland, sort of up were the Amazon comes into Brazil (near Venezuela/Peru) or so.. ;-) [Fishing with a net so as not to harm the fish, no hooks please...]

FWIW as long as you are on H1 I think your family can always get a H4 visa outside the country based on your H1 status and reenter on H4 if that is also being considered.

Hi,

I'm in a strange situation. I just got my green card (I have an L2) yesterday so it is great news. But somehow, today I was checking my EAD since it becomes obsolete and I just realised that I completely forgot to renew it before it expired 2 months ago, early January. So it means that I worked the past 2 months with my expired EAD but got my green card nevertheless.
Do you have any advice as what I should do? Should I check with my HR about the EAD...

here are the visa numbers used in 2006 for EB2 and EB3.


EB-2: India(3,720), China(3,347), Canada(1,248)

EB-3 Skilled: Mexico(6,766), Korea(4,375), Philippines(4,114), Ecuador(3,747), Brazil(3,670), Poland(3,230), India(3,006), China(2,477), Pakistan(2,091)

Assuming there are atleast 300K Indians waiting for visa numbers in the EB2 + EB3 category (including dependents) and 6726 out of them were covered last year, we will have to wait for just another 44 years and 7 months to get an immigrant visa number. LOL

hi all
im in F2B ( LPR filing for son over 21 )
my PD : 12-aug-2009
ON 23-dec-2009 case has been approved , based on the Visa Bulletin currently the are processing visas for F2A with priority date before in 1- JUN i think soon " within 2 month " it will become current and thus all unused visa numbers will transfer to F2B ( spilover ) if this happen i assume i will get my paper and interiview within 2011 .
AM I RIGHT ?????
any insight will be appreciated
