Either way I don't care what the end use is if the US army take apple on i'll be put of buying Apple stuff. It's purely political!
The Army already uses Apple stuff. So I guess you'll never buy Apple.
Or Microsoft. Or Linux. Heck, the Army uses almost everything you can think of. Including electronics from probably every company you've heard of.
While you're at it, better check the tags in your clothes. And don't eat boxed or canned or frozen foods either, those companies also make military rations.
As a child of the 50s and 60s, I sympathize with your politics. As an Army veteran, I can tell you that you're barking up the wrong tree. Fight the politicians who go to war, not the war materials or their users... because there are times that you will really need them, and need them to be the best.

RTFM. This is a personal issue and something that doesn't require government involvement. Why should Apple have to re-work the system to account for parents who raise greedy spoiled children?

Lemme' guess - it's going to be distributed through the app store, and everytime there is an update, you have to download an 8 GB install program for each update, ala XCode 4 :mad:
Yeah, lack of incremental updates for the Mac App Store in particular is a bit of a problem.
Personally I'd like to see all 3 options thus proposed available for Mac users: A Mac App Store initial download option, a DVD, and a USB drive. That way, people can pick whichever one they need or want.

Omg with no laptop updates, I'd like to watch as Apple's laptop sales tumble. Already the Apple Store dropped their MacBook shipping days down to 3-5 days (nobody wants it). :mad:

I'm not buying a tablet until there is one that runs mac OS X (the modbook is too expensive) :D
I'm still a firm believer tablet computers need to come with the following to be considered "standard":
1) Soliataire
2) Minesweaper
3) Disk Defrag
4) A CD Burner
Other than that I do think Woz's comments were right on the money.

In my opinion, I don't think the "iPhone" will have more than 1GB just so that it wouldn't affect the sales of the lower capacity Nanos (the shuffle is an exception because its tiny and has a relatively lower concept).
A good selling point would have to be how fast you can put on your music. My sister's Treo is painfully slow at that.

I don't think apple would go 128gb now.. There launching cloud soon, which is the future.
How is "cloud" the future if bandwidth is still limited and not available everywhere? Cloud = server, This rebranding needs to stop.

I wish Expos� would have been in iOS 4. I really don't like the current multitasking option.
I like it on my iPad but expose would have been much better.
Also, using gestures would make much more sense with expose; plus I think its a better experience overall. :)

Question for folks who have gone (or purchased ticket voucher). From the looks of it, you buy a voucher, which you then redeem online for a ticket, correct? Can you buy the voucher now, but fill in the attendee ticket details at a later time? I'm going to buy, but there's the off chance I won't be able to attend, so I'd like to give the ticket to someone else. The ticket holder needs photo ID to get in, so they obviously can't use my ticket. So I'd have to wait until I know for sure to claim the voucher, or put the other developer's information in.
Can that be done? Or do I need to claim the ticket at time of purchase? Based on the recent track record of WWDC selling out in a week, I'd like to make the purchase ASAP. Thanks.

And just for the record, you can run many flavors of linux on a mac as well.
I know that the PC can't run the audio apps I use, so I use a mac. Plain and simple.

So, earlier in the week I had an issue with my iPhone and it wasn't working. While my phone was out of commission, I was watching G4 TV and X-Play was on and they had a review of games on the iPhone. The game I saw was an RPG mixed with a Bejeweled game. You would be fighting a creature and in order to gain armor, health, and attacks you have to match items like Bejeweled. Swords, Hearts, Potions, things of that nature. I never wrote the name of the game down and I've clearly forgotten the name. Even googling G4 isnt helping at the moment so I figured I would come here and ask:
Does anyone know the name of this game from how I described it? Its driving me crazy ;)
