Dear Glenn: I've never communicated with you before, but something you said recently prompts me to write. I saw you on C-SPAN during your August 28 Restoring Honor event at the National Mall in Washington. Like many others, I was pleasantly surprised that you turned away from politics and focused instead on time-honored moral and religious values. You spoke about reading the biblical story of David and Goliath with your five-year-old son and exclaiming, "Wow, what a hero he is!" To your son, however, David was not a hero because he "can't fly" and doesn't "wear a cape." You then...

My parents-in-law visited the USA in the last week on B1/B2 visa. At the port of entry the immigration officer marked the expiration date on I-94 for my father-in-law for 6 months and however did not mark the expiry date on my mother-in-laws I-94.
As they are visiting first time they did not know the procedure and they could not bought this to the immigration officers attention before they left ?
I assume they entered the expiry date in the system for my mother-in-law since both applications were processed at the same time with the same officer.
How this can be fixed ?
Is there any way I can call DHS and confirm the I-94 expiry date in the system ?
Thanks,

Rescheduling your FP can delay your background check etc., and can complicate your GC approval timeframe. Its better not to reschedule and stick to the appointment unless their is an emergency.
AFAIK, their is no limit on the number of times you can reschedule though, but its advisable not to reschedule for the reasons mentioned earlier..

Here you see some of the early adopters of AC21 rule asking similar questions during 2002-2003.

I just got a letter from USCIS saying that I need to get a police clearance(b/c my fingerprints are unclassifiable) within 30 days otherwise it may result in the denial of my application.
I am now out of states working for my U.S. employer's overseas branch and can't go back to US until end of Aug. Is there anyway I can ask USCIS to give me some extention period?
Thanks !!

hi folks,
I need some help wrt my wife's immi status.
She had applied H1 (from H4), and got the approval notice I-797.
Now, we applied I-485 for both of us on July 1st
But our attorney did not file for EAD/AP, because of time constraints.
Is it ok for her to start working using the H1 from Oct 1st?
Will it jeopardize her I485 Appln?
Any info / experience on this will be of great help.
Thanks,
Kans.

I just got a CRIS notification that for my case and my wife's case "Card production has been ordered".
Does that mean our I-485 has been approved?

Hi All,
My agent says interest earned over the period is taxfree in otherwords, the maturity amount is all taxfree
Did anyone signed up and got your medicals done here?
Also I see this on their website....
Life Insurance Corporation of India (http://www.licindia.in/nri_centre.htm)
NON-RESIDENT INDIAN:
A non-resident Indian is a citizen of India temporarily residing in the country of his/her present residence and holding a valid passport issued by the Government of India.
NRI should not be a green card holder. He/She should not have applied for or planning to apply in the near future for acquiring citizenship of his /her present country of residence or any other country.
I am >35 so need medical exams done and attested by a MD Doctor. I and My agent has no clue where to get it done. Doctors here charge for those test and not sure if they would attest those papers.

Hi Folks,
I would like to know if there is any issue to enter the USA using the Parole document if I never had the H1B visa stamped on my passport.
If anyone can advise, I appreciate!
Thanks!

If you typed a document using Microsoft Word today or sent an email using Outlook, you owe a little hat tip to the Hungarian-born Charles Simonyi who oversaw the creation of Microsoft's Office suite of applications. He earned a fortune at Microsoft and is now a billionaire. Simonyi is still in the business world and runs Intentional Software, a company he created in 2002. But he's also using his fortune for philanthropy and adventure. He has endowed professorships at Oxford and Stanford. And he has now visited space - twice! - as a tourist on the Russian Soyuz rocket.

Hi all,
I need an urgent advice. on April 4th I started a new job in a good size company (200+ employers). 2 week before starting the job, I had sent the company all the information required to transfer the visa (paystubs, etc etc) and they confirmed that everything was fine.
Last week (Apr 27th) I have been asked by the Payroll company to provide copy of the I-797 to attach to the I-9. I contacted the company's immigration lawyer and he stated that they filed the transfer on Apr, 26th (3 weeks after i started working for them) and he should have the receipt shortly. This caught me off guard because I was sure they already filed the application before I started working for them. I am really concerned now as I believe I am out of status (or I have been for 3 weeks).
Should I be worried? what's your take on this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Politico's Jonathan Martin explores the short term attraction and long term peril of the GOP's embrace of the anti-immigrant movement. He specifically discusses the subject in relation to the governor's race in California: The logic is clear: the new hard-line Arizona law, widely popular among the sort of Republicans that dominate this states GOP primaries, and Poizners unrelenting focus on the broader issue, forced Whitman to engage on a topic she was hoping to avoid. But so are the risks. Some operatives and analysts regard her strategy as the political equivalent of biting into forbidden fruit tantalizing at the...

Hi,
I am applying for Citizenship after completing 4 years and 9 months as a Permanent Resident in US.
Can any one please let me know as what is the processing time to get the Citizenship after I apply?
Also I have planned to move to a different State after I apply for Citizenship.
Please let me know whether it fine to move to a different address after applying for Citizenship? Else is this move not advisable?
Does this address change delay my Citizenship processing time?
Appreciate your guidance.
Thanks.
