My labor was filed in July 04 on EB2, but approved under EB3 category only. My attorney contacted uscis to with the amendment saying that my LC should have been approved under EB2 category. Finally, got a letter from uscis in Feb 2007 that my LC was approved under EB2. Could that be the reason that I did not get GC yet even my PD is current.
Please contact IO using POJ method or send a follow up email to your service center asking about your PD and categorisation. Once you know what is in their system (EB2 or EB3 ?) , then you can follow up with them to rectify it.
AFAIK, in inter-filling,applicant has to do lot of followups to get correct PD on their file.

what you said is quite possible; though the person seem to be aware of vonage deal and was little worried of possible impact on teleblend's business. (They have $49.99 unlimited India plan - simply doesn't make any sense now...) I am calling them now, Again. Usually teleblend offers good quality services at lower price than vonage or lingo. If they don't come up with a good solution, I will move to vonage by this weekend.

My case is at the local USCIS service center. I opened an SR on Aug 12 and got an email response encouraging me to apply for an Infopass appointment: "We have determined that your case would have a better result if you make an appointment to visit your local office, so you may speak with an Immigration Services Officer about your case."
I now have an Infopass booked. Let's see what happens. My case is pre-adjudicated since we had an interview two years ago.
Should it go any further this way, can anyone please explain the process of Ombudsman / Congressman / Senator et al?

Its sad to see this policy is working. Divide on EB3/EB2 bases etc. We are fighting a common cause to eliminate employment based country quota system. I'm surprised that IV is allowing such threads to be posted. If it so, its a v sad day for IV.

Whether USCIS can find out or not depends on their IT systems.
I am 80% sure that you need to be present in US when you are applying for 485. Better safe than sorry. What you can do is - prepare all the documents and file it as soon as step in to this country.

Why is everybody so happy? He has just briefly and curtly informed in the message that flowers will be forwarded. They won't be sitting on my desk and embarrasing me. There is no acknowledgement of the issue or any empathy or compassion with the sufferers. Now even the press coverage will make USCIS director look good. I don't see what's the positive development here.
They probably tried to pass the irritant to someone else. If USCIS continues receiving flowers, and therefore passing them on, one day even the soldiers will say "No thanks!". Then they will pass them on to someone else. But for how long?
I think this campaign will NOT lose its effect-- as long as we are persistent. Ideally, we should continue sending flowers at least so long as it does not become a MUCH talked about issue in the print and radio and TV media. My humble opinion.

Theoretically, you are right. If DOS sees no demand per CIS, they should make it CURRENT for EB2 I/C (assuming they did clear all pre072007 inventory)
This is why I was saying, they just need to add a couple month to keep the pipe full.
Also, per law, they don't have whole 2800 to approve in a month, or a day, they have to do it by quarters. So they don't even need 2800, if they have only 800 EB2I in inventory (demand), they don't have to make it CURRENT.

In form G325A and 765 there is a question which ask all other name used , what should we write as our name is same as we have written in first and last name ( my maiden name and name after marriage is same )

I do not say we can not do anything. But has to be a bit practical & plausible.
