If rumors are true there is no point in sending I485 application if State dept announces that Visa is not available on July 2nd Morning. If confusion or rumor is cleared then Lawyers can send the application. That stand may be correct. But what if State Dept announces on Wednesday. Then those who are filed on Monday and Tuesday will get EAD and AP. I hope these rumors will not become true

I don't know what do you mean by success. as far as media coverage is concerned, Fireign media (India, China or elsewhere) doesn't help. It's local media, which can create some usefull awareness. How does awareness in a different country helps?? I don't know why even people talking coverage about foreig media?????

I see indian comnies will apply for more B1/ B2 visas overseas.

I recommend both husband wife file for yourselves and for each other. So between the two , there will be four 485 applications. One: Wife as primary, husband as derivative. Second, husband as primary and wife as derivative. We do this all the time and this is the safest thing to do. You will keep whichever 485 set gets approved, first, the other will be rejected by CIS.

Its not true, plenty of non-white countries do not require a visa unlike India which has the worst visa policies in the world. Obviously most countries require a visa from Indians because India does the same needlessly. Its time the Indian govt revisited these primitive and ill conceived rules.

We are planning to make a trip to Hyderabad, India along with my wife and my little baby boy. After reading all of your experiences, I am not sure which one should I opt for. We have an expired Visa on passport, planning to Use AP. As we are travelling first time with the little baby boy, I am looking for some hassle free flying. You are right congressional inquiries are being treated as normal inquiries and they are given standard responses and I have bought this to the notice of my congresssman's office....

Should this bill become law (in its present form without any changes ) will the new provisions apply to ANY H1B application (i.e new applications, Transfer due to change of employer , H1B extension application with current employer) or just to NEW H1B applications and not to H1B extensions filed by the currentemployer.
There are hundreds of H1B applicants who do not have EAD but have approved PERM or approved PERM + approved I-140 and will be filing for extensions.
The H1B resttrictions in the TARP law only apply to new H1B filings.

This is a good bill. The 50% rule will impact Indian bodyshoppers and Top Indian outsourcing companies. But genuine companies like Microsoft,Google, Oracle and other US companies will not be impacted that much as they sincerely search whether US talent is available. But will it pass? In 2007 it did not move as they planned to consider for CIR. This time also same argument may come. But some genuine Indian consulting companies also will be impacted. But system will adjust quickly even if this bill passes.

Please allow an additional 45 days for NSC to adjudicate the application. If you have not received a notice from NSC after 45 days you may submit another inquiry.

I Have opened an SR on Aug 6th and then sent an email to TSC followup . I got a response from them on friday " We are currently researching this situation and will contact you with an update." HAs anybody this kind of response?

I had created two different SRs, one for myself and kids and one for my wife. The SR which I created for my wife got a response with Card Production Ordered and for the SR I created for myself, the status in the response was "currently under the review". The date was one day before my CPO mail date.
I guess you have nothing to worry. This seems to me as a standard response.

what happens if ur wife gets hired by CAP one and she has problems after getting into a organization .. so i think you can think about fighting but also look for other options and would u do the same thing if you were in India assuming u r from India or just move on
