I doubt it, first and foremost it needs to be accredited and any accredited university has a long list of requirements. However education helps in the long run for sure, but purely for GC I dont think so. I base my answer, because the bill neither passed nor has been voted on, the perfect requirements on being Skilled can be modified and so on. you be the judge

All said and done, isn't it safer to just get your H1-B stamped and come back using H1-B visa. This way, there is no doubt. I have an AP, but I am planning to get my H1-B visa stamped when I go to India in January.

By accepting citizenship will not make you "FORIEGN". Even after 10 yrs you still be looked as Indian immigrant after all. You are right in a sense that sooner we all will cry for for PIO card.

It appears somewhat likely that there will be an announcement today regarding efforts by the government to resolve the ongoing controversy over USCIS' refusal to accept employment-based adjustment of status filings. "Authoritative sources" are providing wildly varying reports regarding the content of the "fix," which may indicate any number of things, including the possibility that the government is not able to come to sufficient agreement to actually produce a "fix." AILA will post updates to InfoNet as the situation progresses.

My mother-in-law had a two way ticket but she was not carrying the e-ticket paper for return ticket, and for that they made her wait 2 hours to verify with the airline that she had a return ticket. So it is VERY Important to have a return ticket, if the visa status is B2 visitor.

I just can't believe how many times this topic has come up, and yet keeps coming up.
We have had long heated discussions on this topic many times, and always come to the same conclusion and that is to push for filing I-485 without visa availability. This topis has so oft debated, there is no merit in kicking it up again.

You ask your Ex-coworker to draft a letter with detailed duties and responsibilities and print it on his current companies letterhead. You dont have to get it notarized. I did issue a similar letter for one of my friend, it was long long ago, don't have the format yet. btw, i did not notarized, I just printed, signed and mailed.

Hi All,
NSC received my I765 applications on June 21st. I am still waiting for my EAD. I have seen many people from NSC got their approval for the same time frame. Is there anypone in the same boat. Is this something I should be worried about.

I have been following the data for a while and I see a surge in EAD approvals. There are boatload of approvals from 9/24 and 9/25 (Some still pouring in).
If your case reached June21 (Not Jul 21st ?) , you can request an appointment at the local office and they can request a temp EAD card for you. Or since 90 days is over , you may call the 1 800 number.

Got the Receiptts with Date Aug-28 for 485 for all of US.
Also Finished the Finger Printing on 25-Sep-2007.
When can I expect my receipts for EAD and AP?.
Anyone in the same boat?

I applied for my I485, I765 and I131 in July 2, 2007. Then me and my wife received the I765 approval in couple of months then the real drama began.
In October i received the letter about our i131 denial. The reason for the denial was approval of I485 (I485 approval news was mentioned in my i131 denial letter). My lawyer then told me to wait couple of months to receive my cards. I waited but didn't receive anything. The I called the USCIS and they told me that there is no update in the system and they requested me to go to the local immigration office to notify the matter. After visiting the local immigration office they asked me to write a status request letter to USCIS.
Me and lawyer already wrote 4 letters to USCIS requesting the status of my i485 as my i131 got denied. Finally one of the cases status for i131 showing online that you�re RFE has been received and case has been resumed; and the other one is still case denied. On the other hand the i485 for both mine and my wife's case still showing like it was showing six months ago..."received and pending"........
I�m totally confused in this present situation. USCIS never requested for any RFE against my i131, so why they put in the online status that the RFE has been received. All I did was requested for the I485 applications as they mentioned in my i131 denial letter that my i485 got approved��
Some help here will be highly appreciated��.thanks in advance

Logically, if your I485 was approved in October of 2007, I would think that it was a mistake by the USCIS.
The I-131 denial was most likely a mistake by the USCIS.
You may have a long wait ahead of you before you get your I-485 approved - just like thousands of us!

You can travel back to India on an expired US VISA also.
As long as you are travelling back to india (Country of citizenship)

and by this time all of you must have heard that Sen. Schumer is reaching out to Sen. Graham and Sen. Murkowski and other stakeholders to revive the legislation....please support IV lobbying plan in the first week of April by your presence or contribution or spreading the word! These things don't happen out of the blue - there is a strategy and methodical approach to everything IV does!
