Hi folks,
We had the appt wt infopass the other day.I guess it was just like others,some kinda error and that happened opening the SR wt TSC.They said our case is preadjudicated.and said we may want to check on the case by making an appt wt the center but maybe NOT calling and opening a service request.What a waste of time n energy, all the agony we had to go through!!
NOW guys i have some other issue/question to ask u all.
After the EAD is approved do u necessarily have to be working for the same employer who sponsored for you? Ours is like future appointment.The USCIS wanted some docs from us this June re the appontment/work related.And yesterday when we asked that officer she said our case is preadjuticated as of Oct 2009.So far we have taken couple of paychecks frm the sponsoring company.But then we have our own small business also that has kept us going.And we were thinking of taking more paychecks after the GC is approved.Does that make sense to you guys? or are we at fault?

A core member has been helping me in this matter. I really have to thank the core for being so responsive and for giving this matter the kind of attention it deserves. There is some progress in this case and the quickness with which the IV Core acted on this and moved the issue forward gives me and my family hope.
We have been patiently waiting in the immigration queue for close to 10 years and finally when we are so close to the end of this long journey become victims of a clerical error which was completely out of our control. IV has provided our family with hope. I thank IV for that

Thats too bad. Call your local congress man(either senate/house). I have seen people with relative success.

I can not certify the form. Even if I certify it comes back with error and tells me to enter middle initial. Tried couple of times, but without any success.

I understand the informational part of your post, but i don't understand the bad news part of it. How does getting a 2yr EAD change your I-485 processing? It will get processed whenever it supposed to be processed next.
There are ppl like me - EAD is pending for over 3.5 months and there's no decision. Be content with the fact that yours was approved in time and it's icing on cake that it's 2 yrs validity. the way i see it, it's all good news. Point me to the bad news please.

Well, good news because i don't have to worry about renewing it for another 18 months, bad news because does it mean my 485 is nowhere near processing.
Either way im not fretting about it, when its my turn i will get it. It was just a statement.

We are not sure of the chronology of events such as your wife's pregnancy, Your job change, your insurance start date. If you guys had individual insurance before your wife's conceiving, insurance cannot deny coverage as pre existing condition. Make sure you put these events in a time line and rule out the possibility of coverage. if you have done so, you have to explore other options.
As far as changing job is concerned, make sure your job requirement matches the same and similar concept. If you have used AC21, why not use it one more time? Of course, your PD and other personal issues might be stopping you from doing so. But if you are just thinking about using AC21 again, dont worry. Talk to a good attorney and drink the kool aid again.
The easiest way to get through this is to get under group coverage. I will let you know if there is any way you can sneak into group coverage. but the one I can think right on top of my head is joining an employer with health insurance

Has anyone thought of the people who missed the august 17 deadline because the labor was not cleared within time. Because of no mistake from ourside, we have to suffer. What a screwed up legal situation ?

So if you ask me today, would I rather have filed 485 with a PD of 2006/7 or be in your situation, as bleak as your situation looks today, the better choice might be your situation.

Atleast for me there is no hope for CIR, Peicemeal seems a best option, recently there was a WSJ report that President had agreed for piecemeal if CIR doesnt pass... but we need to be very very watchful...
after Healthcare experience there is little chance any big legislation will pass in this country we need people who care about country and would like to work with other end both sides seems either too liberal or conservative which is only good in winning elections...

I just don't like the tone of after getting work with a valid permit, then suddenly, one turns against those who are applying for work permit for the fear that they may take his job.
The anti-immigrants also fear that the immigrants are taking their jobs or lowering their wages atleast.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but that's what I think and just my opinion.
I agree with you. I just don't like the attitude of people who have got green card or EAD. Once they have it they want to stop all the immigration. Try too have a conversation with GC or EAD holder !!
BTW, people forget to take family based GC into account. If you think about it, around 500k GC are given every year. This means during my stay in US, around 3.5 million people have got GC, but I still never had problem in finding job with H1. Yes it is more difficult but definately possible. As someone mentioned , as long as one brings skills on table, the person will have job.
Most of the July filers have 140 approved and working in a full time job.So I think there will be little impact.

Applied AOS On: July 5th.

Am seriously thinking of applying new AOS without medical exam, EAD & AP after consulting with my lawyer.

I think you should be able to manage it. I am not sure if USCIS will accept report from Doctor's in Mumabi. it has to be one the cerified civil surgeon.
You can ask your wife to have all immunization record ready. Talk to some civil surgeons in advance and explain your situation and ask if they can provide blood report in one day. Mostly they send blood work to another blood lab so you may have to contact lab if they can give the test result in same day. Although ppd test is required but you can try to convince civil surgeon to skip it and go with just x-ray and later deal with rfe. Or you can ask civil surgeon if he accept PPD report from some other doctor's in India. Another option could be that she can take PPD injection in india and show it to the civil surgeon here. Explore all your posibilities here. You have enough time to explore your options.
