3. Trying to do a "divide-and-conquer" within IV.
IV is for all legal EB based immigration - it is very clear in the mission statement what is its goal.
Also, even if IV was as myopic as you claim, future generations of EB immigrants wll benefit simply by virtue of the fact that people currently in line will not fight with them for GC.

What else do you want Bro. Give 30 days time to USCIS to send your card. we, most of us, would me more satisfied just to see the magical words - Current Status: Card production ordered in our case status.
Regarding holding card in physically, have to wait some time. Which should not be more taxing than waiting to see the magical words.
I started calling my friends the same night that I got GC, but back in my mind I was still not sure and thought "whatif USCIS made a mistake" and thought may be I should wait until I get the card.
I have spent coupla nights searching forums what kind of email people get when GC approved. I found most get Approval Email and Card production. I got only one email. I am still not able to believe I got GC. It was like a distant dream few weeks ago.

This is the first time i have applied for my I-485 and i am on H1b befor this and my record is very very clean...
Coming to the address on my I-485 i called up USCIS and also went fr an INFOPASS appointmentt and i was told that the address i told matched with theirs on the file...when i asked for a second copy to be sent they said that it will take 30-45 days for me to receive it...i am really worried..
Since the USCIS case status said "We mailed you a decision on 29'th NOV " and it is not 30 days wil it still be considered abandenonment denial??
Does any of you know whether my dependents need to sign the Appeal/motion to reopen or my attorney can file on their behalf??

The approval came with stamping notification for chennai consulate (as at the time her H-1b was applied this year in March, her state of residence was in chennai consulate region).
However in April this year she moved to Mumbai and then to USA. I've heard that you can go to stamping at the consulate region you've been staying for the past 6 months. Since she was at Mumbai for half of the time and then in USA, does it give us liberty to choose Mumbai consulate for stamping instead? Would there be any issues? We are thinking that at the time of interview, if they ask she can let them know she has moved to Mumbai and has her address there now. Would that be okay?

I am planning a trip to India in late december. I went to the Hyderabad consulate website to see if I can get a appointment for my H-1B renewal for Dec/Jan09. I have read that the consulate would be functional in December but they have no system yet for taking appointments. I guess one more trip to Chennai! I think after reading your case, it is just a standard operating procedure. Not sure why you thought of it as being punished unless some dmv official behaved unprofessionally or rudely with you . I suggest you wait for sometime and you will definitely get your license renewed back.

Getting the driver's license is not the problem, I know it will come. Problem here is why I cannot drive outside SC for up to 60 days waiting for the DL card? Remember I've to surrender my old SC license. This is serious limitation to my work, e.g. I need to go to Atlanta on 08/19 and I cannot drive there.
In September I will go to Italy, what if I don’t get my DL till then?

I got RFE on my case my case is NSC-CSC-NSC Transfer. Got Soft LUD in last 2 days and got RFE mail yesterday night. Waiting to hear back from lawyer about type of RFE. But atleast seems like they had started working on my case and if no RFE it would have been approved.

Arrived at IAD POE with 5 days left on AP before expiry. No problems. You will get 1 full year from the date of entry on I-94 irrespective of expiration date on AP.
