Hi Guys,
My application was sent on Aug 7th reached USCIS (NSC)on Aug 8th. Recieved my reciept # on Sep 24 from lawyer. But my wife hasn't recieved the RN. Was wondering if any one are in the same boat.

Gurus,
I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

The relief for EB3 comes because a lot of EB2's/EB1's will be gone from the quota. So, if the queue is smaller, you get it faster. The way I look at it, we want the queue to be smaller.
mrajatish is right.
Also, if you have an advanced degree from an acredited university outside US AND have been working for 3 years in a related field, you will also be exempt from the cap regardless of whether you are applying/have applied in EB2 or EB3 (believe me...you would think that people with advanced degrees would have applied in EB2...but there are cases where people have had to apply in EB3 category even with an advanced degree).

Congratulations!!!!
My wife and i got emails from USCIS and we checked our status online and it is now CPO. The approval is based on my wife's applicatiion ( EB2 India, Dec 2005). I had two applications one as her dependent and another my own that is EB3 I, Jan 2004.

I am a new member joining the IV team.

It is legal per INA to do that.. So your letters and your friends letters are just gutted in the trash right away.. :p
I agree.. Remember labor substitution was also legal once upon a time. However when people reported the facts to USCIS the labor substitution was banned..
But buy then major damage was done..
Therefore EB2 guys wake up till there is time.

I got finger print notice on 6-16-07.
I never got receipt notice and I could not read the number in back of my check image. My attorney even did not get any receipt notice either:confused:
The finger print is scheduled for July 7th. I sent all app. to NCS on the June first and they transferred to TCS. PD of Sep 2003 and I-140 was approved 2005. I also apply for travel doc. and work permit but no receipt so far.:rolleyes:

I had filed in Nebraska on Jul 31st. I called and got receipt numbers for all 3 of my cases.
My 140 was cleared in Texas but current numbers start with LIN.
All my receipt dates show September 10th when i check online.
Still havent received any update from my lawyers.
just a reminder that the rep knows exactly when it was received in the mail room. Some people had said that it might be ok to lie and say its past 90 days even if its not because they wont know when it was received in the mail room.

I got my receipts by mail on monday and checks cashed last friday. But my wifes did not clear yet. any one in similar situation please post.
My one set of checks cleared last friday & other set yet to be cleared. That might be for me or wife, no idea. So I'm waiting.
How are you so sure that your case checks were cashed & not your wife's just curious.

I can very well relate to your desperation and anger, but please don't react emotionally. The legal or technical fact remains that no-one guranteed us GC and truth of the matter is most of us said "No" when immigration officer asked " do you have plans to settle in State?" So their is no question of equitable treatment.
. No Sir, I can't say thier is conspiracy as I know of none. As of us doing favor? ... is completly wrong, we all knew what and why we are coming here for. Had we had better choice we would have opted for that. Let's be honest to ourselves.
That my friend is captilism and welcome to USA. No I am not going to accept, but I am also not going to wave my fist in air and cry in-justices.

After 2005, I changed my mind and we had applied twice (me and my spouse) and hence we marked yes on the question whether any immigrant application was filed on our behalf. No we did not lie there. And even if many people did, do you think those who come from Europe or visa free countries mark "yes" when they apply first time? So your point is moot there. Most people from visa free countries come here work here visa free and go back. They never even get asked a question. How come we get fingerprinted, photographed twice, interrogated twice and yet targeted when it comes to GC?
I am not against capitalism but I am against fighting injustice such as you dont get GC because you were born in India. And yes change will come but if we dont do anything we get nothing.
