The last month of the fiscal year is generally much much better. I doubt approvals for Oct will be anywhere near that.....especially since it is the first month and they will go slow...and November visa availability will be an eye opener.....not much hope....

Iam 2nd july concurrent filer.When i called uscis to check for name check status,the customer service lady replied,"Currently we r processing dec 2006 cases .we dont do the security check etc for ur case now until we deal with earlier cases..please check back later.".
Is this the answer u get when u call for name check status?Any july 2nd filer,can u post ur experience here???

I am surprised that all other threads are getting updated quite frequently. People are posting question related to their RFE and as usual once they get answer to their problems, they vanish. People are posting jokes on IV, but when it is their turn to call, we've to "bump" this thread and send e-mails to members. So pathetic.
I felt very sad when I read 30000+ members donated some 4000 dollars in last two months. I felt my donation of about 1000 dollars since 2006 is being wasted to answer questions of or to solve the problems of these free riders &/or one question members.

He has good job, good salary and he is capable of paying his monthly mortgage and he and his family are sleeping without any issue right now. He got into a good paying job after a year and he wanted to buy a house back in 2002-2003 period. He was not able to get any loan including credit cards. His friend had to co-sign for him to get into an apartment. He is still repenting his decision of not paying off that loan. Recently he got a car loan at the rate of 12%.

My attorney is not including any w2s/tax returns at all. According to her, their firm never files these documents and got many approval without any issue. Did you see any instructions in 485 forms that says that they are required?
W2's/tax returns are not part of the initial evidence USCIS requires to process your application but they may ask for it later if required

I think it is the part of their process. I went an infopass the other morning and the IO gave me the same response. She said every thing was fine with my application. It was pre-adjudicated and now waiting for a review now that my priority date is current. She asked me to wait for 60-90 days. But I got the approval same afternoon :)
I was told the same thing in my infopass appointment on Sep 3rd. I also opened a SR on 09/01. Finally received the 485 approval notice on 09/10. My wife who is my dependent actually received a CPO email on 09/09 and a message on 09/10 saying "you are registered as permanent resident". I never received the CPO email and I don't care.
It's been a long 10 year journey, extremely frustrating. I case to this country as a student, then H1B, was exploited by my employers for so many years, still with the same employer on H1. Renewed EAD 2 times never used it as my 485 was denied last year.
Case history:
Priority date: Apr 26, 2006
140 rejected: Dec 2008.
I-140 reapplied Jan 2008
I-485- receipt date: 09/11/2007
I-140 approved Aug 2008 (Multiple RFEs which were never ending)
I-485 denied without appeal Jul 2009 because they somehow linked my case to a denied I-140.
Lawyer filed motion to reopen in Aug 2009.
I-485 reopened and went into pending status Jun 5, 2010
Here's what I did since the last month:
- Called USCIS to open a SR 08/15/10 but was told I should call when my priority date becomes current
- Called USCIS on 09/01, opened a SR for both myself and wife, was told I should hear back in 30-60 days, but may receive an email sooner.
- Lawyer called on 09/02: IO (Level 2) said, I may have to do finger printing again as they were expired.
- Took infopass for 09/03: IO was very helpful. Said my case was in transit and is pre-adjudicated. It was not assigned to IO as of that point.
- Contacted Congressman on 09/07. They initiated an inquiry on my behalf.
- Took another infopass on 09/10 (I wasn't aware that petition was already approved). Received the most humiliating treatment from the IO. She will not disclose any detail and told me I should come back in Dec to check on my status since my 485 was denied earlier. I ran into a Canadian immigrant who had the same experience - absolutely useless.
- Came home all frustrated and angry. I was surprised the see that the approval emails had popped in 8 am in the morning.
I believe the SR to request our files on 09/01 probably worked.
I can't thank enough the IV core and all wonderful people who keep contributing to this forum. This forum has been a great help!

Can POJ be only be used for cases that were seperated? Last time, I used the POJ method, the IO told me to talk to the CSR and he refused to give me the status of my case.

Can you update your profile... will help everyone before they reply.
Due to the pending caseload at NSC, the processing time of your I485 application has been extended. Allow extra time for an officer to review your application. Furthermore if all intial evidence was not included with your application or a question arose during adjudication that required a RFE additional time would be needed.
Your application remains awaiting review by an Officer and you will be notified as soon as decision is made. The service is waiting for VISA availability

In Labor substitution, a person who lands in US last friday, could substitute a labor and get ahead in line of a 2002 guy.
In Porting case he/she is the original beneficiary. So you comparing Porting to Labor Substitution is totally illogical...
PD porting is another labor sub in making. I hope I have presented my case logically to show who all are the people who are in position to be benefitted by this rule. Of course there will be some genuine cases too but on other hand think about the people in Eb2 line that will be severely affected.

My point is if more and more people like you file lawsuits against USCIS for the different kinds of injustice they think USCIS, DOL and DOS had brought on them, we ( all EB categories)will be in better shape to fight together for the bigger cause which is more predictable process and processing and closing as many loopholes as possible in the employment GC journey.

You definitely sound like my mother , who gets scared by the news that gets published in telugu news papers about gas station shootings in USA. Otherday she asked me not to goto "that gas station in Kentucky" .. I live in CA.
